I don't think he's a member at TCSS....The only reason he signed up here was to sell and you can't do that there....when no one here bit on his offers he disappeared....He was not looking to become a member of the community.....

That's what he seems to do these days.  He just wants the money.

Wasn't this 5postboy someone that was vouched for by someone here when he was attempting to sell things because he didn't have the proper post count to do so?

I'm almost positive I remember that name and someone vouching for him.

Have to do some research.
Hi y'all, I just come across this and thought I'd reply.

This 5postboy claims that it was Yoda who vouched for him, though I haven't found Yoda actually vouching for him,  because of his Anakin AOTC hilt.  Here's the link: http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum/index.php?topic=11785.msg186690#msg186690

Yoda probably vouched how "good" Chen's saber was but I doubt he vouched for him selling stuff on the forum.

Well here is the post of one of his sales.  Yoda has several posts in there.  He doesn't come out directly and state his approval but if you read Yoda's posts you can be assured that he was allowing him by the way he posted and of course didn't make him take the sale down.

Either way though, this guy should be flagged as a scammer until we get further info on this latest development of non refund of money and parts.  Also requesting money for a "loan".  Very very suspicious to me.

I agree.  I certainly wouldn't buy anything from him at this point, although from the other thread, it does appear that Yoda obtained a very nice replica from him.

It seems to me that Chen used his order from Yoda as his ticket in. He made sure everything was squared away with that and got Yoda's approval and then began the scamming.

And it sucks for everyone.  Potential customer's can get nervous with sabersmiths thinking "what if its a scam".  Sabersmiths then lose out on these customers.  And it isn't just the sabersmiths people would get nervous about, but also those that are selling parts of old sabers or MIB sabers.

Though, as someone else brought up, if something sounds fishy, then listen to that little voice....

Before he disappeared on me with my belongings and money, he was asking me to help him sell on the RPF (Replica Props Forums) when he knew that it was against the Code of Conduct there. I, of course, didn't advertise for him on the RPF, but he's just that type of person who will move on to other places to conduct his tainted business when he's kicked out of one place.

I've been trying to find others who are owed by him and make an attempt at a class-action movement against him. I don't know if this is allowed in Singapore, but I suppose it's worth a try. By the way, is the lawyer fee individually cheaper in a class-action movement lawsuit having just one individual suing someone?

No,  I believe he ran off to the Philippines originally,  then was in New Zealand for awhile.

You mean the one that he was selling a few years back? If so, no, that's not from my project. That Anakin saber was sold in 2003, and I made my prints in 2006.

Thanks for taking notice, though.

I honestly can't see how he can return to prop selling after his disastrous history, but knowing him, I would expect to see him making an attempt. In all probability, he'll resort to having associates advertise or even claim his products as his own. Be extra cautious with future sellers who will have you send PayPal payments to someone else. He won't have PayPal payments be redirected because of the extra fees that he would have to endure.
