I'm also following this for the memes

Haha, I'm actually having a lot of fun now looking for new ones to use on these threads now.

Really though,  if they are really that rough, I would be in your debt, to clean it up a bit e chap?

I'll be in touch with you about it.  I'm still refining the process and want to make sure I give appropriate pricing when I'm ready to do so.  This has been such an involved process that I want to be sure before giving pricing on specific trim level options.

Of course, you can always get in touch with the preferred installers for the run and see if they can help you out as well.  They're a pretty good group of guys. ;)

I can only imagine what's gonna happen to  a "SID"  :sidious: that thing will be HEAVY!  :)

;)

Are you going to have the red button carved from solid ruby next?

Nart, the rest of Rogue Squadron and a particular Spice Freighter are currently enroute to a very Sithy planet in search of just the right sized red crystal. Hahaha.

JK........or am I?  Muahahahahaha.

Ok, no, I really am kidding.  No way am I attempting that one.

is that the mini bass speaker?

No, this saber is getting a full sized premium speaker.

Those have cleaned up very nicely. Care to do mine? :)

I finally have some pricing nailed down for different finish levels for the hilts, I'll drop you a line and let you know what they are.

For anyone else that has been inquiring about this, I can give you pricing as well, just keep in mind that since my build log is still pretty full and is officially closed at this time I can not give definite time frames as I am not actually taking on any new commissions until that log can be cleared up.

yes, these are very nice in deed...I secretly wished for these to come this way, but like they say, for the money, we got size accuracy, and the ability to light them up...so those were the two most important things I guess.  were these chrome dipped?   i didnt see how you got them so shiney?

Definitely Randy, I don't mean to take away from what you brought us with these.

Yes, this hilt is chromed.  I will be doing a number of them actually.

Thanks guys, much appreciated.  These have been a labour of love. (And more often than not.....hatred. LOL.)

It will get a full thread done when the install is complete.  I'll take some nice glams and a video for it.

if no alterations were made to a duke the way you got one, and all you had to do was chrome dip them, you mentioned they needed some prep work?  what kind of prep work is needed before chrome dipping can occur?

Oh and Randy, sorry I missed your post somehow.  I'm not sure I understand what you are asking.  There were quite a few alterations made to the hilt when I received it.  You can see the full process in the first post.

Moreover, like Mike commented on his FB video of the hilt in question, he had to sand down the hilt big time before the hilt was chromed.
