When scrolling through fonts in the Soundbank, how can you customize the sound clip that identifies the font?

Each font signature is the font.wav file within the font.
See § font structure page 14

Thank you - page 14 of what? Is there a manual somewhere? All I have is the Specsheet. Please point me to the manual if one exists.

I created a new font signature, changed filename to font.wav, then replaced the font.wav already in the folder, and now the font signature is silent when scrolling to this font.

Do you know what could have happened? I exported this as a WAV file (mono) from Adobe Premiere. The file itself works and specs are the same as the font.wav file I replaced...

probably not, as it seems to be ignored / skipped. Log the board in debug mode to see what the serial output is when it tries to play it (set debug to 1)

What page of the manual can I find out how to log into debug mode?

Does the card only read .WAV files, and do they have to have certain parameters (16 bit, etc)?

I can't imagine why it would have trouble reading my new sound files - like I said, they play fine in media players on my computer and are named correctly, in the proper folders.

Please direct me to where I can learn more about how to run a debug to find out where the error is.

I believe all of this is covered in the CFX manual.

I find your arguments vague and unconvincing.

I've been reading through the manual all day but the part about debugging via USB is very vague (p. 77).

All it says is that a new COM port should appear in Device Manager when you plug in. Doesn't say what to do after that.

Going back to my font issue, I can tell you that I have tried saving font.wav files with various settings and none are being read. I even tried copying the original font.wav file back in, and it won't even read that one.

Update: PROBLEM SOLVED!

I think it is because my .WAVs were 48000 instead of 44100 Hz.

it does, about 5 lines after that

I indeed suggested that the file (format) didn't comply. Glad that was it.
WAV format accepted by the board is described indeed on page 13.
