For the first time ever, Vader’s Vault is temporarily shutting down the build log. Come on, we heard the collective gasps of dismay :o. Fear not. We are not going anywhere. We have just decided, at this time, that we are too backed up to be taking any more business until we fulfill all of our current obligations.
As many of you may know, Randomsabers was one of our early inspirations and, like many in the community; we were saddened that their success eventually caused their demise :'(. Well, we swore to learn from our predecessors and not duplicate their mistake. Recently, we discovered we have over a year waiting list. That is an unworkable situation for us. First of all, it is too stressful for us and, second of all, it is just too long for a customer to wait. A six month backlog is workable, anything longer is not good for anyone so we will not be taking any orders until we get back to that level or below.
This has also brought to light the fact that being as backed up as we are has interfered with our ability to experiment and try new things :-\. We have some awesome stuff coming up, both in our build log, but also in our front line product and some planned exclusive runs ;D. We want to have time available to be able to devote to those things as well as to the builds we have in our log right now.
We would also like to remind everyone that while we do our best to give an ETA, it is just that, an “estimated time of arrival”. It is not a “set in stone” date and we are, unfortunately, unable to provide “set in stone dates” due to the nature of our business. In addition, we are not a large business. We do not, for the most part, sell pre-made product. We make unique, one of a kind, custom pieces. We. Alan and Deanna. The two of us. So, if something happens to one of us, or we have DRL issues to deal with, production slows. It can’t be helped, it is what it is.
If you are on our build log, we ask that you be patient a bit longer. We are focusing all of our energy to get all our customers taken care of as quickly as we can. However, as you all know, we will never sacrifice quality for quantity, just please know we are working diligently to get everyone taken care of.
We hope everyone will take this as the positive situation it is. We have become successful. We have lots of business. This is a good thing :D. Thank you to everyone out there that has contributed to our success. Thank you to our peers, our suppliers, and of course, our customers. This is a wonderful community and we love being a part of it. We have been blessed with a wonderful and patient bunch of customers. We want to make certain we are doing right by them by not getting spread any thinner than we are. So, really thanks so much to this awesome community for your support and watch for an update soon!
