Saw Luke ROTJ 2005 vs. Ani. ROTS.

My friend bought a Vader ESB and a Luke ROTJ for his two brothers.
This was the time.
I took my Ani with me to see the Luke because I could buy one for myself very cheap.
I thought a bright green saber will look very cool with my Vader ESB and Ani ROTS.
I Have the latest Ani and this one is heavy.
I brought new batteries with me, (Duracell Ultra M3) and put new ones in my Ani. ROTS too.
He took the saber out of the box and I felt like a kid again.
We put the batteries in and closed the curtains.
No, no, no, this was not what I expected.
The hilt feels cheap.
Much lighter than my Ani.
Maybe they changes something because I thought the older ones where heavier.
The controlbox is the wursed, the stripe-thing on it feels like cardboard.
If you take out the batterypack the hilt weights nothing.
The blade is good.
It was a very bright green. but not really brighter than my Ani. it looked more like a lighter green blade instead of a brighter green blade.
The sound was not as loud as I expected to be.
Not louder than the Ani. ROTS.
It was warmer than the Ani but that's because it sounded like it has to come deeper fromout the hilt. Maybe the speaker lays deeper in the hilt.
I'm not buying this one, I'll wait till MR makes another green saber.

The Luke does indeed feel a bit cheaper, though it's much more comfortable to wield.
Its sound however is louder than the Anakin's. Even with new batteries in my Ani and old ones in the Luke, the Luke completely drowns the Ani.
It's blade seems brighter and stays that bright for a longer period.

Maybe the Luke just needs a paintjob. If I were to use the sort of paint you'd use on model kits, would that apply well and hold? I would really like to paint over the part that's supposed to be copper with some paint that actually resembles copper.

At least the Luke is alluminum so you don't get your fingerprints all over it.

All I can say that I'm very pleased with Luke ROTJ, but the fact is that my Anakin ROTS is louder than Luke ROTJ. I'm 100 % sure for this . There may be differences between Luke ROTJ sabers.

There may be differences in Anakin ROTS as well.
I've got the one with the metal parts ( rabbit ears and controlbox-ring) and my Ani was louder than the Luke ROTJ and just as bright.

Syfo Dias,... I look at your collection, and it's starting to be really impressive. The Mace you have, is that the ROTS, and if so, do you like that one more than the  Luke ROTJ or even the Ani?

personally I like the Mace more than the Luke ROTj, but not as much as the Ani or the Vader ESB.

Why thank you Darth Matth, I do like the Mace ROTS but not as much as I like the Luke ROTJ.  The sounds are louder than the AOTC edition but not as loud as say the Gen 3 such as the Anakin ROTS or the Vader ESB
