(Simple) Power Xtender 2.0 question.
« on: April 08, 2015, 04:57:47 PM »
It say "Remote signal input voltage : 0-5 volts max. Switches at 3.3V"  Does that mean this can't be used with a 7.4 volt battery?
(I wanted to use this with my CF 5.1)

Nope, totally can use it with CF5.1.  Its really what the PEX was optimized for.

Oh ok good! But will I need a resistor if it's going to a red LED /2.2 volts?

Red main LEDs? Oh yeah. Even with cool colors like white or blue, from a 7.4v pack you definitely need a good sized resistor.

Actually anytime you use a PEX, you need a resistor since it's drawing power directly off the pack.
