Hello there

Yes I know everyone wants to see more than I can simply show in pictures.
In order to demonstrate any types of spinning circling figure eights etc...
I need to make a video of some sort.

I don't know how effective this will be on line because It would be a long
video that would take a long time to down load. 15-30 min at least!

So what I am doing, is considering ways to make it and have it available
through the site for purchase in the near future.
I would most likely make it available on VHS or DVD but I still need to
Work out some details for transfering from camera to recordable
VHS and or DVD mediums.
I also need to discuss it with Bigdog about the retailing of it.
But please stay tunned as it is some thing that is in the works that
I want to accomplish, but it will take some time, effort and money.
But please stay tunned...

As soon as I can make it a reality it will be, but
give me time on this. As I'll need to work out
many issues so it looks correct and is worth while
as well as informative and entertaining.

Well if you need any help with editing it onto a DVD format then I'd be more than happy to help - I work on a film production (am not at liberty to say which one), but a lot of the equipment which I use is my own stuff so I would be able to help out, and possibly with any graphics as well, depending on how much spare time I have.  ;D

Hello there
I thank you for your offer... to bad I'm in California and you are in the UK.

But if no one else can help me I just may send you a copy of the tape when
I do finish it to see what you'd do with it.

For if you lived by me then you could come over to my house and help me
do the video I imagine.
I could even give you free training and tips for on stage swordfighting just by
helping out.
But you live accross the pond so I don't think it's economical to do that, but
like I said I just may send you a copy of the tape when I do finish it to see
what you'd do with it.

Great idea guys!  ;D

I have been sparring almost on a daily basis with my boys, and I think I'm getting better.   ;D Heck, I even took on two at once! (Though, I didn't last that long, but it was fun!)

I would love to see a video! Start with the basic attack/defence zones, complete with demonstrations and tips. Then get into some harder saber spins, and eventually "advanced " techniques. Then finish it off with a 5-10 minute "duel" showing the combined practices taught throughout the entire video.

I only wish I could help make it!  ;D

(Meridian, care to fly me out to CA for a while?)  :P

As much fun as that would be it's not quite cost effective is it.
Actually me and my wife will be demonstrating so that way both
the guys and girls are being represented.

I think it will be a matter of having one of my filming friends
that is becoming a real pro (in freelance) come over to shoot it.
(he's been doing a lot of underwater shooting so
I'll have to see if hes around)

And Bigdog I was planning on doing the example of how the
correct use of the defense moves can look.

Actualy the best showing of the basics is in...
The EMPIRE STRIKES BACK between Vader and Luke.
simple all 1 through 6 yet dramatic and effective.

My friends and I are making a fan film and thats how I cantack my friends out of British Columbia... and well if that wasnt the problem here then Ingnore this post completely

I'll see how well it downloads and the size it ends up
before I attempt to put it on line for anyone.

First we have got to get the server up to speed before
adding any more video here.

I haven't made up my mind about the selling of it as
a full version yet because I won't sell a video that's
not worth it, so the quality has to be good enough
that I can show a few segments from it here on the
site and then if members want to buy it to see more
they can.

Bigdog is actually working on getting the site set up
for selling the Shirts so out of that we will then go into
the videos, sword cases, and so on and so forth to
find our way into retailing for Master Replicas.

Now, I don't think I can email 700mb of video.
and I don't use msn.
and as I've said elsewhere I don't host my images
out in cyberspace for people to access easily.
Like the FX-Sabers logo I made wasn't out floating as
a suggestion. I made proper corespondence with
Bigdog and proposed my logo directly to him.

I'd need an FTP site or somewhere to put it
and like I said we will need to make some money
off it to help build the site and support everyones
new found Lightsaber Habbit buy purchasing from
MR and others.

It unfortunately takes money to make money and
we've only got none to spare. So though our start may
be slow, it has the potential to build a strong following
and a base for members to actually become customers
as well. A site specifically geared towards the Master
Replicas line of Force-FX Sabers.

Hey Meridian,
ive got an idea u could develop the video nd save it in ur PC.
then download Ares (Ares is a FREE p2p program),then u could share the video,nd any1 who wants the video ,could dowload ares nd then search for it,nd download it.

to download Ares, here is the link: http://www.aresgalaxy.org/download.html
