Nice! Ya know...it would be cool if someone figured out how to make an X-Wing really fly...despite the lack of aerodynamics.

Bad aerodynamics can maybe be solved with massive engine power and computer stabilization, like any modern combat airplane ;)
Beside, they are mainly made for space combat, where aerodynamic properties are void.

If they ever do make them, I want one... 8)

Does this count?

Yes an X-wiong would not need wings in space but for entry into planets with gravity.  The space shuttle is the best description of this principle.

Now for the real world X-wing check out the old X-29.  Designed over two decades ago and actually flew.

An X-wing fighter is nto fiction but reality.  With VTOL and this type of design along with advanced computers to control it you could feasibly make a real X-wing fighter.  Of course hyper drives are not yet there.  ::)

Of course it'd be you to post those, fly boy ;)

I've seen pics of that fighter. It's a rather unique and radical design but obviously perfectly feasible. Now, just add another set of wings and a vector engine on either side of the body...and we got ourselves the beginnings of an SW X-Wing ;D Of course it'll probably have to have Harrier tech to make up for the antigrav, and I have no clue how it would make it to space... But the applications for space use and defense is large, despite our still fledgling attempts to live in space. The future is now; we have the technology. The problem is is that people just don't use it  :-\

Use the force Luke.
Maybe it will go up.
A trip to the moon and back would be nice for a week or so.
But I don't want to live in space.
YOU?

Chances of that happening are about as slim as us finding ourselves part of the SW galaxy...

Well I was going thru a friends myspace and seen some pics of me from days gone by so I figured why not show myself from around 2 to 3 years ago.

So yeah the ones with sabers are more recent than any of the others, the rest are from days gone by that I wish were still around. and yes that's me at the start of my gotee which was like beginning of last year I think.

Oh yeah please pay no attention to the teeth. If I would of known I wouldn't smiled as much.

Clicky

In left to right motion

1st pic: Keefer, Me, Her name slips me at the moment, pink shirt don't know, white shirt my friend bill.
2nd/3rd pic: Me
4th: Me and my best bud bill
5th: Me and bill playing with sabers, My tcss and bill with my bros then maul
6th Me Jon and bill, jon is bill bro and another of my best buds, I consider these guy brothers.
and 7th me being goofie cause I just seen the crow for the umpteenth trillionth time that nice and yeah I was being strange for the camera.

1st was around 5 years ago and some of the best summers of my life.
6th Neither me bill or jon can remember why we are wearing buckets on our heads and we were sober.
4 and 7 were the same night

So there you have it the side of me thats rarly seen by anyone over the net.

Iam thinking about growing the gotee back.

I wasn't sure wheter to post this either here or in Emperor Palpatine's "Reveal" thread, but this topic won the coin toss.

I got married couple of weeks ago (Saturday the 13th of this month to be precise), here's couple of pics. I have "a few" cameras to unload at the moment, since my father doesn't know how to unload digital camera, my wife's sister was shooting with our own camera and our "official" photographer sent us a disc with over 200 pics in it... So I haven't managed to go through all of them yet! But here's few:

So yes, against the general belief, Star Wars geeks do get married as well!  :D ;)

Wow, those are nice photo's.
Of course this fits in here too.
I remember the wedding on Naboo as well.
On a day like this, you look at your best, so.
(You could have taken your lightsaber on one or two Photo's as well, Or everyone could bring it with them, just like jerry did from MR)
I remember, my wife had a enormous hamer to hit me for the fun pics.
They're not digital, it's 16 years ago.
She did hit me very good actually, from that moment on, I do everything she sais,... NOT.    :D :D :D

When are we gathering for that weddingcake? ;D

Unfortunately pretty much everything SW related was forbidden in our wedding... I tried to suggest Imperial March as our wedding march, but it got, well, "vetoed" down... ;) One of my buddies did say "May the Force be with You" during congratulations & handshakes, though. :D
