Its going on a couple of months now for me since i sent off my Luke ROTJ fx and havn't heard anything from him in a while. (Thats a long time without my fav. saber)
He did say he sent it off but that was about 3 wks ago and nothing yet. :(
I'm sure he is busy but it would be reasureing to hear from him at least to know whats going on.

JSS please just give us an update. I know you do good work and have seen it here in the forums. I don't know about everyone, but I for one just want to get my sabers. This is not an attempt to Lynch you. We just would like some kind of an update. I can understand holiday's and family troubles, we all have had them. The part I have a hard time understanding is no communication. You have logged in over and over, still left no word.
I don't know what more to say.

If you've also tried to contact Him through His site and no answer then there may be a problem?
I believe He may be still having shipping problems with His local post office during the holidays?
It happened with me once but the other times weren't a problem so...
If that's not the case then He should communicate with those waiting and let them know
just what is going on and to give His customers better estimated times of completeion.
Perhaps there is some tradgedy that occured we don't know about, but I will PM Him
and ask that He please provide you guys with an answer.
I'm sorry to hear this is becoming a problem but hopefully we should have some resoloution
soon...

1. Luke ROTJ "hero upgrade" (going on 2 months now)
How long has everyone else been waiting?
I have seen him on many times and still no replay from him as well.
I know he does good work as well and the people who have recieved theres back from him couldn't be more happier. I just don't know why he can't give us a little update as to whats going on since we know he still is active in the forum.
Anybody else who is having the same problems can post there feedback here on their status.
Again... i am not trying to be rude or anything against JSS, Just like to hear from him and have my saber back as well :)

I don't think you should have to wait 2 months for a complete made from scratch saber, much less a conversion. I wouldn't be happy.

I am waiting for a custom 5W saber from him as well.
It's about one week overdue and no time estimation as of right now.
I do think he will response to emails though, it takes multiple tries.
JSS, please get back to us if you can. We are only looking for updates.

Well He was just here so we know His long range transmitter hasn't been knocked out :D
Perhaps He will make a list of who needs to be contacted and give specific updates and times
of completion for those waiting...

I have been waiting since September. I paid him on the 9th of Sep.
I know he has read this post, please just update us. I have tried his phone, but no answer, and no reply to the voice mails either. :(

If you haven't been in touch and no one is answering the Phone?
Then yes at this point even Yoda says... WTF? ??? :o ???
I was generally concerned and wondering if He get called to Military Duty?
I even wondered if someone else was logging in possibly on His computer by accident? One of His Kids maybe?
Perhaps there was an accident we don't know about?
But I see His last posts were on November 9th and It doesn't seem like He was exhibiting any problems
or unusual discussions etc...
I also see that His latest transactions on eBay were as recent as Nov 24th so...
For those who have paid for services this is obviously not acceptable at this point.
He has never displayed any signs of dishonesty so I wonder if He is actually physically and or
financially incapacitated and unable complete the work? :'(
In that case customers should be notified and refunded/parts returned untill such can be completed...
Especially for you Bailinski... since He says He is teaming up with you I fear you have the most hope
of contacting Him. :-\

I don't want to hurt his feedback, as you said it could be family or work related. I am sure we have all had problems like this before. I am willing to overlook this, everyone should have at least one second chance.
I was working out a deal to team up with him. He has a link to my store on his site now. I was using this transaction to decide where to take the team up. :(

Believe me I don't want to see bad feedback either but September till November is a long time
to wait with no contact or ETA.
All anyone is asking for is some communication and it's not unreasonable.
It could be the Holiday season has all our Conversionists swamped, but they should
at least communicate with their customers with in a reasonable amount of time.
Your going on 3 months now and that's excessive so I hope there is some resoloution soon.
I'll check back later and see, hopefully JSS will have Logged in and straightened it out for everyone ;)

i really hope this turns out ok for you guys, i am sure the answer will be revealed soon enough.
And JSS please fix this, i know youre work is rivaled by few, and i intended on sending you a Luke to do a V2 conversion, and i still intend to pending the resolution of this matter.

I just had a PM from JSS saying that he has been having some trouble with the local post office that is now being resolved and that my order will be going out early next week. I expect all our orders will be sorted out soon. ;)

Well i have sent PM's will no replies and one to him when he was even logged into the forum when i was on, and i don't want to get the impression that he was ignoring me and like what was said he is having problems with shipping and such but a few months with little contact is bothersome for me. If Something else is wrong i would really like to know so if at most i can get my money back and if it ships i have no prob. resending payment back to him.
I did send a request through his site regarding the issue with options to contact me so we will wait and see if i get better contact from there.

Same here. JSS promised that my order would go out at the beginning of this week, but as yet I have heard nothing from him.
He has always been a well respected supplier of saber parts and I expect that there is a reasonable explanation.

I hate when sellers like this start to have a good reputation then suddenly happens and they become MIA then eventually dropping off the face of the earth and never delivering on goods that are owed. I've seen this happen way too many times in this hobby.

I personally spend a lot of time contacting and communication with each of my Graflex
customers because I know it can be nerve wracking and I always build before collecting money.
I don't do deposits and If some one gives me money to purchase parts, they get an invoice copy
of what's been bought etc...
It's time consuming and sometimes hard to face a list of waiting people but it's part of the deal :D
So now to JSS
I don't know what's going on other than what He told me...
Here is what he messaged to me on Nov 29th:

I did run into a problem with my shipper this last month again. I've had 10 sabers dissapear and only recovered 2 of them. I have gotten in contact with all the members letting them know the status of there orders. All of which should be shipped out by mid next week. Jedi Kure's box was still full so I need to get in touch with him still. Jeff
So we know it wasn't a medical emergency like Utra had and I haven't heard any other reason why
he couldn't contact each of his pending orders to give those people an estimated time of completion
that he feels is achieveable.
From This message I've been given the impression He has or is in contact with those waiting.
And It stands to reason they could all be in transit right now? :o
I've told Him He can message me and I'd relay any problems for Him but I've heard nothing other than
what I showed you all.
So if you haven't recieved an eMail from Him , I'm sorry but I can't make Him contact people.
I do know that with this many Sabers gone missing and still no contact between those who are posting here
that it is becoming evident that regardless of the quality of His work, if the post office in his area screws up
this badly, then there is cause for concern...
Not to mention using a new shipping method :-\
If you are going past a 30 or 60 Day wait time that have made peopsits
I suggest you guys look at your purchase/ paypal contracts and see what time limits there are on them.
If He doesn't contact any of you by next week and still no sabers arrive to their owners...then each needs
to individually decide how to best deal with your orders.
(also be sure you have your PM box's cleared out enough so He can message you from the forums if necessary)
(PMs are limited to 50 saved so delete what you don't need to save ;) )
But I'd still like to think they will all show up at your door steps this week or next week... :)

a matter of him getting them all out.

Man.. phew... I think he really runs into a serious problem with his shipper and I believe JSS is also in a bad mood right now. Sometime people just need to back out for a while, away from the stress of work. I believe we all had similar situation from our job.
Like, his last message in this thread was just "PM Sent".
Normally, people would say something like "Hey there everyone, I am sorry for this delays, but I had run into some trouble, etc.. etc..."
It just shows that he is stressed out as well.
What I'm suggesting is that all of you who have trouble with him, form up a coalition, appoint a spokeman to arrange things with him, hopefully reducing his level of stress.
Just my 2 cents....

He has not been online since the 30th of November... If it was not the holidays I would jump on a plane and go see him (yes, it is great working for an airline ;) ) I guess I could do that if nothing has moved on this by January.
I would be willing to be the spokesman if everyone wanted to do a one person contact.

I don't think anyone is trying to be rude or add to his stress, but rather be mindfull of his situation and have some reassurance on there order and that everything is okay.
It does sound like everything is shipping by the end of the week or beginning of next week so the wait should be worth it to arrive in time for the holidays. ;D
Hope things turn out ok for him in his new transition.

Hmmm....does anyone know the name of his First Sergeant?
You can also use the Marine Locator to find his Command/Battalion and eventually lead to the appropriate phone numbers.
My one Captain served out in Yuma after he left 1st Battalion 6th Marines, but I'm not sure if he's still there. If you can find out his Commanding Officer and First Sergeant, that will be a great step.
Also, don't necessarily stop with the First Sergeant. If you contact the Adjutant in the S-1 shop (Administration) he will be able to forward things on to assist in legally. I know when a Marine is overseas and his wife needs assistance for "legal" matters, I always guided the wife through the Adjutant. Most times as a civilian, you are most likely to gain headway by going to the Battalion level first. THen if you don't get the correct responses, you escalate it to the Regiment. xxx...all the way to the Base General if you have to.
I know the Marine Corps HAMMERS people for bouncing checks, bad credit, and whatnot. I've seen people receive heavy office hours (punishment...dock of pay, confinement to quarters, loss of rank in some severe cases involving fraud...which this could possibly lead to).
So...like I said....if I can assist, tell me. Good luck. And approaching this like a "class action" suit with the names of everyone on a list is the BEST WAY of resolving it.

I do see your concern here and if he got into a financial bind with
duty involvement it would explain some of the long wait times and
extended delay of completion of projects.
I of course want to see everyone get their sabers and JSS work out
a better way of taking orders and communication with His customers.

I agree with Yoda. I really don't want to ruin the man. From what I gather, Jeff is a good guy. But I want to make it abundantly clear that I am more than willing to take the appropriate steps to ensure that the right thing is done. I'm not a Marine, but I am a troop and a NCO at that, and I would hate to think that a fellow service member would do this kind of thing. That's why I'll believe that Jeff simply bit off more than he can chew, and just mis-managed his time. After speaking with him on the phone, I believe we'll all be happy customers.

I just wanted it plainly clear to Jeff that if he continued on the path that he was going, that it could turn out very badly for him.
I was also just throwing in my personal opinions in regards to how I FEEL business should be run :) Sucessful ones anyways that care about their customers.
Hopefully everything works out in an amiable way for everyone. But atleast he knows that there are people here of the military persuasion that know who to contact in the chain of command should the need arise :)

JSS and I where supposed to make a trade ive been waiting for my hero luke rotj lightsaber since september. last he pm'd me was november 29th saying he will ship it out next week.I still have my replica graflex lightsaber and parts I was going to send his stuff to him when I recived mine.
What a bummer I feel so bad for everyone.

Its a pretty fair trade. A good replica graflex can run you about $150 While a MR saber is around $100 plus any type of luxeon conversion fees etc.

The one that he did manage to send me out of the three that I ordered is displayed in his hilt gallery. It's the saber displayed on a purple cloth. I love the thing. That's why I was looking forward to getting the others. His work is fantastic.

I ordered an extented emitter to convert my Luke ROTJ to lux. I busted an LED in it by dropping it whilst spinning really fast.
I really do hope I get the parts soon as I miss my Luke.

The only thing that kept me from bugging out on him about it is the fact he partially filled the order very quickly. Oh, and the fact that I moved from Washington state to South Carolina recently. Granted, the move occured three months after I was guaranteed product delivery. That was two months ago. Now that I'm settled into my new house, I hit up Jeff again. Sure enough, he said he'll get my sabers to me. But I had heard that before. I then went onto one of the forums I frequent, and I see a post about JSS ripping people off. I saw the same post here. I then decided that my patience was GONE, so I got extreme about the situation. Now, I see that people are getting their merch, and I couldn't be happier. Jeff is a good dude. He just slipped up.

Yeah, I heard from him. He was going to send out my hilts, but I told him to go ahead and wait for his blade shipment and send out the hilts and blades together. I received to some pics of my sabers as they are being fabricated. So far, my hopes are high. I should get them within the week. I told him not to send them out yet, that is why I have not gotten them.

I think that Jeff is just having trouble keeping up with demand. I waited for a long time and was beginning to get worried, too, but Jeff pulled through in the end and I was very pleased with my Luke Hero conversion. I know it is frustrating, but give him a chance to get back to you, and I am sure that he will in time.
It will be worth the wait. ;)
