Those tactile switches are awesome! Are they difficult to install? I'm planning my first build and those would be a cool switch option.

You guys are doing great work, keep it up! Oh, and good luck with the event, i'm sure this will grab lots of eyes :)

Edit: Also, that battery chassis is awesome!! 3-D printed, i'm assuming?

Thx for the kind words :)

I'd say it's a medium difficulty. Switches and switch ring were a good combo in this build. As most of the build was done outside the hilt, it went rather well. You got 8 wires coming together in a very small space once everything goes in and this requires some fine planning and wiring as can be expected. Fine tuning the switch setup is the last part.

The wooden grip area and emitter are gorgeous and add a truly unique appearance to the saber that will be unmistakeable. I would say that this incarnation could easily become an instant classic: Compact, sleek and elegant with subtle powder coated hints and a  powerful sound card. Will hope to see this become a regular or at least limited offering as a you go forward.

This is a near perfect saber to me. Subtle powder coated accents, wooden elements (especially love the shroud, by the way), and a sleek, functional design. I am not gonna lie, I was hoping this version was going to use your awesome switch rings. Illuminated, they are even better. Bravo. Of all the "run" sabers I have seen (i.e. VV havocs and furies, ascend, Malakyte, this is my favorite. Really suits my tastes. Just awesome. Can't waitf for the vid.

Those switches really are an advancement. Very realistic by Star Wars standards... if you know what i mean. ;D

I wonder if those JQ switches would fit in the switch rings Tim is now selling?

It looks to me that the seat for these switch rings is slightly deeper, to accommodate the larger tactile switch.

Furthermore, is the ID/OD where the switches sit the same as MHS?

No they don't, but we DO have special switch rings for the JQ switches. You can order them from us if you need them.
