Li-ion cells in Australia
« on: February 08, 2019, 08:03:32 AM »
Hey guys been a LONG time since I've been here but I'm starting to get back into it and I have a question for my fellow Aussies.

Where are you sourcing your Li-ion cells for saber smithing? I see that TCSS doesn't ship them internationally anymore (yes it's been that long lol) and I'm looking for a decent source for a saber I'm thinking of.

Cheers,

Hi mate, welcome back.

I'm fair green with sabers compared to most, but my first came from battery world at $30. But after that I had a seller in eBay selling genuine Panasonic 18650 for $11 delivered. Other sellers sell clones that look similar.
But the 18650 can be bought at jaycar and other stores locally as well. Just always get the protected cells.

As for the 10 and 15 another batteries for neopixel blades, I'm still test batteries that I like.

When I get a chance later, I will put some links up.
New to sabers, thought it would be cheap!

Thanks bud, Jaycar has everything lol.

Anyone else from Oz have any other suggestions? I'm really trying to steer clear of fleabay (bad prior experience) and I'd rather invest in good quality cells. If I can ship them from overseas that'll be fine I just need some ideas on where to start looking.

Cheers,
