ROTS Special Ops Clone Trooper LE
« on: October 09, 2006, 09:24:06 PM »
I'm very pleased to showcase my newly arrived ROTS LE Special Ops Helmet.  This is the one variant Clone Helmet that I was most excited about, but due to the recall troubles it actually was the second one I was able to add to my collection.

(Click on any thumbnail for a larger version)

Here are a few close-ups shots of the newly refurbished model of the Vader's Legion Helmet.

And then the other side and a top down view.

Here you see it back in its case (both are Rebelscum.com custom cases) paired with the Shock Trooper.

And here you can see the weapons of choice of the "father" of the Clone army himself, the late Jango Fett.

I'm really thrilled with the way the Spec Ops came out, and especially enjoy the look of it set up next to the Shock, quite the combination. ;D

My head is a little big for a clonetrooper, sad to say, but I've seen plenty of pictures over on RS of those who are able to wear them.  It does look very comfortable none the less.

How did I miss this?  You are truly a patient one Luke, and your long wait finally paid off.  I guess I'd have a regular clone helmet by now if I hadn't cancelled my order. ::)

very nice indeed... you got plans on getting a full body armor to go along with that?

How much is it?

I'm pretty happy with the helmet collection just now.  And considering the judgement Lucasfilm just won, even if I was interested in an armor set, I'd be very wary of spending that sort of money with such uncertainty. :D

Against Shepperton Design Studios, who has been making stormtrooper armor and helmets.  Lucasfilm sued them and finally won the case.  SDS is out $20,000.
To Knucle:  I cant pay $300 for something and wait ten months for it to be delivered. :P  Us Sith Lords aren't known for our patience. ;)

I think you meant $20,000,000, DM, but I do tend to agree with you on the wait as well.  Is quite similar to why I don't order from parksabers either, if I was going to wait for something, especially sabers, for a couple of months I'd just assume go to Oz and get a better job done anyway. :D

I couldn't remember how many zeros it was :D  I have one problem with Lucasfilm and their not wanting people to make a large profit off of unlicensed stuff:  We as fans want what we want now and don't want to wait ten years for a licensed company to make it.  Sure we could buy a Rubies craptrooper for $50 or wait ten years for MR to make a quality licensed setup, but...
