NBv4 ok to use with 22650?
« on: May 11, 2020, 07:09:00 AM »
Hello all! I'm setting up a NBv4 with neopixel in my saber, and I was made aware of the 22650 batteries for longer life on neo pixel. I'm using the orbtronic 26650 30a 5750mAh 3.7v high drain batteries. So the question is, will this be ok with the NBv4 set up or is there a chance of over current? Thanks!

current is only defined by the load, not the board "model" per say

Thanks Erv! I was thinking that, but wanted to check. I am a mechanical engineer, so need to brush up on the electrical side of the house. lol.

NP, you can use it. Since it's high drain, be sure to test you board setup + blade on a bench PSU prior using the battery
