Doc:  your problems are your problems, so don't think they're too minicule to mention.  we all have them, and they're ours, so they deserve our attention.

Fovos, the problem with talking to children is that they're, well... children.

Saying that someone will be better than you when she's an adult doesn't address the situation of today.

Sadly, some people don't get more accepting and understanding as they get older.  I don't tell people about my hobby because they just don't get it.  Then again, I'm sure you would have the same reaction should someone talk about their passion, such as stamp collecting, or collecting civil war memorabilia.

Just resign yourself to the fact that there will always be someone out there who doesn't get you, but that's ok.  You know an entire message board full of people who do.

I appreciate the concern, DB! But I also understand that my situation is miniscule, compared to what others may be going through. Still, venting helps.

Barriss is right. Pain is pain, and must be dealt with accordingly, regardless of how we think it measures up against someone else's pain.

Ditto, Barriss. I would say ignore them but it doesnt help - I know from experience. Prove them wrong. I remember the day I brought my MR dual Maul into the commons the night it arrived at the dorms. Everyone who say it was in awe and wanted to see it and hold it. People are rude and immature no matter how old they are imho.

I agree, DB. I know that pain is pain from first hand experience.

I hope this helps you in some way,

Oh I had a wonderful night of- not sleep at all! Yayyyy! Stressing out and trying to figure when I can do work. I stepped outside for the first time in a WEEK! I know it's bad but I've had no justification for doing anything personal because of these ridiculous deadlines. (All clumped together, seriously within days of each other).

I worked out that because of this additional workload I have exactly 4 days to study for an essay due next friday (not counting the day before as I should be writing it that day).

-Saturday to do my cinematography notes (the easy part) plus the B$ "How do you think you did" essay which nobody reads.

-Sunday to finish my Director notes plus the lovely addition of the extra workbook.

In between that I have to research and do my film theory essay, which I struggle with so much. But it gets better

I got the character bios from my 'partner'. Ever had the urge to hit someone, I mean really? He's done a few pages on each...a few pages roughly 3 per character with a total of 4 characters. And says to me that I need to do my share (ok fine) PLUS the workbook which should be ten pages, of which I have no idea what to do for. Plus there is no academic support because it's still easter holidays, the hand in being monday.

Tell me, how does that help students at all?

Apparently I whine too much.  Apparently I'm not overwhelmed, and don't have too much on my plate.  I just have to suck it up and remember and be grateful that I have such 'patient' friends.

Because when the rest of my class is asking how I get through my day, and my doctor is pushing muscle relaxers on me, I must be just a big baby.

For Doc: I know what its like not to get any sleep, you sould try some vitamins, those should help.

For Barriss: Just because some people think you whine too much shouldnt affect you, its all about do you think you whine a lot. I think that you are a very smart person, and our friends here, ( at least me), dont think you whine at all. Sucking it up is one of the hardest things to do, if you need something, you can PM me, as I am a conselor to friends, and family.

Anyway, this is for both of you,

You know what is incredibly ironic? I'm the one my friends come to for advice and help. I apparently listen and advise well. Its funny when you need help, and it's pretty obvious, some people just aren't around.

I take some pills called 'Kalms' but I have an overactive mind, I suppose you could say I can't switch off. Well not properly anyway.

I wish I could say something helpful for you Barriss, but I can't think of anything helpful. Here's an analogy, you open a wallet and a moth pops out...yup...Well I'm here for you my friend, anyway.

Yeah, I have a hyperactive mind myself, so I understand. Yeah, it is ironic how I help my friends and give them advice, but I cant seem to help myself.

If only that hyper active mind gave me psychic powers, then we'd be in business.

"You dare question my essay, tutor?" *crushes them with mind powers*

"Mwhahahahaha!"

I can dream  :D

A great moment of sadness you say? Care to share any more details? :) No pressure, of course.

Well, for the family reasons, I cannot say exactly what the guy was saying to me, but it was something like this:

" You are a worthless piece of *****. You are never going to get what you want in life, cause all you do, is sit on your *** and play those ******* video games and stay on the ******* internet for hours on end!"

and I replied:

"Have a nice day, *******, oh and by the way, when was the last time you did anything with your life?" " Good day."
