Darth Vader ROTJ custom by Lord Bane
« on: February 26, 2011, 02:59:31 PM »
This is my Darth Vader ROTJ saber that I just finished. I bought the empty hilt a few months back from some guy on Evil Bay. When I got it I had to really think about how I was going to install everything cause there was no room at all in the hilt. This IS a scaled lightsaber hilt that holds a 3/4" blade. After a lot of cutting and configuring, I have installed a US 2.5 board, 3.7 Li-ion battery with a hidden recharge port and Seoul P4 red LED. Tiny holes are drilled behind the D-Ring clamp on the pommel so they are hidden but this sucker is pretty loud and clear. The momentary switch is hidden under the top of the activation box, it has new grips and polished. I'm pretty proud of this one, it was a challenge but I did it.

Enjoy ;D

It was part of a hilt run so it is not an MR nor a Hasbro. This hilt is much thinner much like the real thing. I wish I remembered who I bought it from but It's the same size as Yoda's graflex.

This is a very rare saber hilt you have here, not very many ROTJ vaders out there!

I know. It blows the MR and Hasbro away. It was very fun to constuct. It was a challenge but well worth it.

It looks a lot like a Korbath DV6 from run one.

Nice job.

Yeah, very cool. It's not often you see Vader ROTJ's out there. Good stuff and congrats.
