Corbin driver help!
« on: April 14, 2008, 12:43:12 AM »
Maybe someone can help. I have a Corbin lux III driver with MR soundboard with dual impact sensors. It seems that when the impact sensor wired to the corbin driver activates, instead of doing the flicker effect, it will turn the led off for a second, still makes the clash sound and the led will do the fade in effect. I've re-checked everything, even repositioned the sensor. Anyone know what's up?

Hmmm I do believe I've heard of something similar but I couldn't tell you what the fix is for it...
Best to shoot Corbin a PM about it and I think He will have a work around for you ;)

Is it a latching version of the driver? If so, check your batteries. Make sure they are fresh.

Yeah it's latching for the MR board. I checked the switch and did a third rewire this morning. It's also running a 4.8v rechargable and I made sure I charged it fully before testing it again. I will see what Mr. Corbin has for advice. I'm sure it is something simple I am overlooking!

yeah man! I thought it might have been grounding out on the control box so i shrink wrapped over the solder points on the terminals and insulated the inside of the box. I also resoldered it. nothin!  ???

I got it straightened out. It was a bad impact sensor. Go figure  :D
