According to the message I got from Wat... Feb 2012... (hopefully sooner... I won't give any dates for earlier because I don't want to be mis-quoted as fact)
I don't know the other two answers...
but I can guess it will NOT be available in 1"... that would require changing the milling work for the custom blade holder.  And that means more money... not to mention that it may just not be possible.

its possible my parks negotiator had a 1" blade holder i dont think it would change much macheining wise but i suppose thers a good reason for a smaller diameter blade
a 1" would be nice tho
mabey it sacrifices screen accuracy??

Sorry this isn't my place to come up with theories either, and i know they discourage discussions in the trade federation.
hopefully Wat will come by and tell us why it is not going to have a 1 inch blade.  But what I can say is the Parks negotiator is not this saber.

This is 100% accurate, down to the fraction of an inch. Down to the number of knurls on the red button. It's more accurate than the MR Elite Edition. An extra 1/8" for the blade would mean that the grooves on the emitter would be 1/16" too shallow.

Besides, for those that haven't held a MKIII or MVI with a 7/8" blade...they are very very nice.  They are not too thin.
