Anatim's Yoda FFX Review from GERMANY
« on: June 02, 2007, 12:56:58 PM »
hi all,
this is my first review in english, normally iam writing in german, because iam from germany ;D

so, here we go:

STORY:
the sponsor of my website saberproject, replix.de ( german online shop, who sells MR stuff) wrote an email in may to me, they told me that the yoda ffx is now available and they would send us one for FREE!
i must say, i had never bought a yoda fx, because it looks so small and breakable...
three days later i hold the saber in my hands!
it was fantastic!

HILT:
i like the hilt, very light, the matt surface is good, no fingerprints like on the anakin rots
the activator box is a little bit too fat.... if you spin the saber, it's disturbing
--->the hilt is great, i like the design 4,5/5

BLADE:
the first time i've turned on the saber i was very amazed "whoohaa, what a bright blade!"
this short blade is definitely the brightest of all ffxses
this green is very cool, i turned it off and on several times. i was so fascinated by this blade! ;D
the blade itself is very durable and slighter than the other mr blades
---> nothing to say 5/5

SOUND:
hmm, the typical jedi-saber sounds, but the resonance of the hilt makes a metallic sound.
i like this sound, it's not yodalike, but it's good
the on and off sound is very loud, it hurts a little bit in the ears
--->the sounds are recycled 3/5

OVERALL:
i love this saber, it's perfect to spin and small, so that you can spin it in a small room without destroying your ambience :D
you can use the yoda ffx in one hand as a kind of snickersnee ;D

here is a extra pic: (from top: graflex, yoda, anakin luxeon, obi-wan ; the ani and obi's battery is half-full)

A SHORT VIDEO OF THE YODA FFX

Nice review Tim my friend!  :). From all the vids so far, it really sounds the most aggressive power up on fx, I really like that. I also ordered mine and it arrives next week, I'm so glad I did, it might be better than I thought after all  :)

Yes, it is sounding fast. I think I will nickname this saber's new style, The Flight of the Hummingbird!

thanks for the nice answers :D

the saber is very durable, i've threw it on the floor accidentally, but nothing no scratch nothing :)
fortunately...as this happened to one of my anakin's the on/off switch was damaged
but i could repair it ;)
