I think it actually IS in HD. The only reason I think this is that anytime anyone on the RPF needs a screencap of anything they always ask for the caps from the HD broadcast, which a few people have archived. If it really were just scaled up then all you'd have to do is grab a screencapture from the DVD and then scale that up.

EDIT...yep. They paid good old George 70 million for this back in April / May 08.

Yep...GL certainly knows how to make us buy the same story line 6 different ways....lol

I had all three movies individually on DVD and then bought a box set.

yea, George is gonna play the game right and save the blue ray industry from falling under like HD-DVD did... plus he knows all us major star wars fan will buy the same movie again but just in a different format or version lol..

I have all the same videos on dvd and vhs as well plus each dvd separate and in the newest dvd trilogy as well that just came out... I think I have every version possible right now lol

Edit* also guilty for watching TPM right now on spike lol* all week long they say their gonna play the entire saga !

I've the box set but not the Original release OT, and the prequels individually... They should box them all up instead of making us buy them all separately.
