Obi wan ROTS custom in progress
« on: April 18, 2009, 12:19:28 AM »
This saber was commisioned by a customer. Here are the electronic features it is going to have, I will be adding them sat and sun

Corbin v2 driver with flicker effect
Mr fx sith soundboard
Tri rebel blue
11.1 lithium battery with recharge port in pomell
Anti vandal switch with red led and tcss activation box
3/4 blade

It has copper and brass parts on the emmiter, and I cnc machined the ribbed section out of .25 aluminum so it is very solid and has great weight *yes I have a cnc lathe now!!!*

The ribbed section was coated with a black epoxy, and was baked on at 210F for 4 hours.

Here are some pics, I still need to polish all the aluminum parts so keep that in mind. Expect a youtube video and more pics in the next couple days once i get the electronics installed. If this looks like something you would be interested in, pm I want to get an interest list going and see about doing a 10-20 saber run.

I must say, I like that version....and the switch is different for an Obi-Wan, but looks great.

That is really cool. I like the thin neck area. And the way the copper runs up through the emitter, great idea!
