Prizm 5.1 wiring help
« on: November 24, 2017, 07:27:55 PM »
This is my second Prizm 5.1 install. My first one works great. This time around it’s not working and I’m wondering if I could get some help.

Everything is wired properly from what I can tell. I have two accent leds wired up in parallel and they work so I know I’m getting power from the recharge port and battery. I have an RGB led wired and going to the appropriate pads. It’s not lighting up and the speaker is not working because I get no boot sound. I tried two different speakers so nothing seems to be wrong with the speaker I would think. This isn’t my first Prizm and I’ve wired one before with success. Any ideas what could be wrong? Thanks!

If you put your SD card from the working prizm into this one does it do anything? Maybe the SD card just needs formatting?

without wiring pictures and board pictures it's hard to tell !
I would also wire the RICE to any serial terminal @115200 baud to see if the board speaks up

Thanks guys, ya I’m a dork. It took me 20 minutes to figure out I didn’t have the SD card in it’s slot.   Lol , I didn’t think to look under the board. I even checked all my pads with a loop to make sure nothing was bridged  with a wire going wonky.
Walked away came back and had my duh moment.  Rookie mistake.

Could somebody confirm me that the NOT pointed lines on my wiring diagramm are the ones with high current running through? Thanks!

The 2 red going to the neopixel connector (from the battery +)  and the (B) and (C) ground return.
And the green (-) from the recharge port (as the ledstrip ground return will flow thru it)
