Good grief! The only way this lightsaber would be worth it is if it was a real working saber, and they took me for a ride around the galaxy in an x-wing or tie interceptor, and I got to spend my vacation in naboo with padme ;)

Not to be nit-picky... but... does anyone know if they actually used the original prop from the first film over to ESB?  Cause the rivets on the grip only appeared in ESB... something about the grips not staying on.  I just thought it was an entirely different prop... not the original used... that would be even more of a keepsake, for sure.

I read that some of the guys on the RPF are already disputing some of the details of the saber!?

There is no doubt that some people have spare coin to blow on stuff like this. $200K would pay for a ton of Yoda Special Editions.

I guess some collectors are living in another reality separate from the one I'm in..

IMO, iconic items such as Luke's lightsaber should be donated to places like the Smithsonian due to the cultural impact they had on our society.
