CF9 in Steel saber
« on: June 25, 2019, 05:53:01 PM »

Am hoping to get on the Duke V2 run hopefully coming in the coming months and am trying to work out whether to go with a Crystal Focus or a Prizm sound board assuming they fit. Internal dimensions are currently unknown. However have just thought as the body of the saber is predominantly steel construction will this stop the cool force/magic activation  and Saberlock features?

It will for sure create some hard iron offset so the field parameter might be more difficult to adjust. However you can still probably bring a strong magnet here to it and have it activate the saber.

I haven't tested with a steel saber but based on my (recent) testing with the CFX and magnetic activation, it's very sensitive with a magnetic vector measurement between 0 and about 50000, so it should really work in your planned saber. The new calibration system will help a lot doing the setup of this, and wireless
