Hello, all! Been reading these forums for a while and decided to join finally. I, like many others have been
cursed with the MR bug and now get strange looks from people who come to my place. Anyway, got my
Vader ROTJ today. I love it! It's my 6th LE and I was one of the first to pre-order and got #157/1500!!
SWEEETTT!! I'll try to post a short review of it with some pics this weekend!

I waited a whole year for MR to finally release this one, after hearling rumblings late last year that it was coming, I had a feeling it would be an X-mas time release. Indeed it was the last release of the year I think. However, in my humble opinion, it was worth the wait. It is very "vaderish". I went back and forth all year about whether to buy this one, a ANH, or an ESB, but with the value of the ANH sabers not going up at all, and the amount being the greatest of all sabers I think, coupled with the $400+ you're gonna hand over for an ESB, I decided to go with this. A good call considering the run is limited to 1500. I think this one eventually go up in value.
OK..the saber itself is very close to the Luke ESB, as everyone who knows the story behind the actual prop should know, as they were one and the same. However, I like to think that Vader retrieved his old "favorite" after the duel in Cloud City and modified it to become his ROTJ saber, and chunked the ESB saber in the bottom of his cape cabinet. LOL!! (Just my opinion).
The hilt itself is solid, no blemishes or scratches on mine (whew), the case and packaging remain unchanged from other sabers of late, what is different is the layout and typeface of the plaque. (see pics). It's slightly different from the ROTS saber's plaques, I don't really have a favorite of the two. The total edition # IS on the plaque however which is a great thing, so you don't have to clutter up your case with two plaques like the ROTS sabers.
My only complaint about this saber is it looks a little to "new" A small amount of weathering would have gone a long way to add realism in my opinion. Where the ROTS sabers were supposed to look new and shiny, the OT sabers should look "used". I found a wallpaper on the net years ago with this saber hanging on a hook on a wall, with the words "Jedi that was, Jedi to be"---kinda cool and the saber in the pic had some weathering done to it. I can post the pic if anybody wants to see it. Anyway, that's my 2 cents on this one--
