- Brimstone (My first ever machined saber)
« on: October 17, 2016, 03:31:43 PM »
Hey guys!
I have been a saber builder/enthusiast, on and off for a few years now but I have finally decided to take my hobby a step further by buying and learning how to use a lathe and a milling machine.

So without further ado I present to you my first ever self-turned lightsaber (June 2016)

PS: This is one of six that a friend commissioned me to make.

Brimstone - Specs:
Turned from solid aluminium
NB V3
Cree Tri-XP-E2 R-R-G with R-G for a yellow main blade
Dual speaker
Olive oil weathering

Looking forward to your comments.

Thanks guys.

That has a really beautiful ancient/relic saber look...especially the weathering. Well done!
To DREAM the IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. To FIGHT the unbeatable foe. To BEAR with unbearable sorrow. To RUN where the brave dare not go. To RIGHT the unrightable wrong. To LOVE, PURE AND CHASTE, FROM AFAR [-sigh-]. To TRY, when your arms are too weary; to REACH the unreachable Star!... This is my Quest; To follow that Star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far...

Nicely done. Great machine work. Like the weathering, looks old and may be a hint of steampunk.

I like machine work, it seems a comfortable hilt. But I would prefer natural aluminium or anodized in gold.
