imo there is no other way to have a completely accurate sidious saber with that perfect transcolored finish than to have the MR LE itself so that is what we have here, daren of jq sabers uk is the only sabersmith to have cracked the code as far as converting the mr le sid goes, its just PERFECT!

The finish is absolutely gorgeous and thers no way to tell it has been converted apart from a very small single hole sound vent in the rear bee tail pommel, it has had a completely new machined blade holder and neck to accept a 3/4 blade and an LE style blade plug

the lightsaber has been converted from static hilt to full FX with sound using the latest plecter labs crystal shard 3.0, the cs3.0 is almost a crystal focus imo and now has 6 sound fonts and perfect motion accuracy and sound

i am very happy to add this to the collection daren has done an absolutely stellar job on preserving the finish, no trumpets getting blown here or anything lol but i honestly think that this is the BEST fx sidious out there!

Which brings me to my 2nd sidious hilt also installed and finished by daren, this one is from the korbanth run and was in a pretty rough state when i received it, i had it super polished at the time but it just didnt remove all of the rough edges in the corners etc, so daren sent it to his chromers for the full works and the benefit was great daren used a powder coating on the shroud called penny dust and the result is one of the best custom finishes i have seen its very close to the mr le, a very light touch of weathering was applied to give it a little more of a worn look and to blend in any blemishes or marks and the finishd result was awesome

the korbanth sid is a great replica indeed very accurate in most areas, this one received a crystal shard 2.5 with a 2w mini speaker and internal recharge i opted for no blinkies on either saber because the movie saber did not have this

Pure AWESOMENESS!!!  That MR LE is definitely the #1 Sidious saber to date, probably the only one in the world to be so accurate and fully functional!  Outstanding job by JQ as always and the Korbanth is also up there as one of the best converted.  Having 2 Sidious sabers that Sidious clone Wars soundfont would be perfect!

Its definite, that we'll be doing a Duke 2.0 - taking as many suggested changes that you want to see...and the main change is these will come polished like the chrome bumper of your Fathers 1954 Buick. so that's the first biggest improvement is the finish.  I know you want them now, but I've got my self stretched pretty thin with the MPP 2.0, DV6, K4 and OWK summer run, so in OCtober, we'll get the run started once all the 4-mentioned units come in and go out.

We'll probably through Sid2.0 in with two toned powder coating, and adding a LS6-V1-Hero saber, along with a fourth SURPRISE saber never done before, that will make you pee your pants...but I cant reveal it until FALL...

There will most likely be another Sid run in the future.

Seeing these makes me wanna get a Sid hilt!

I'd never have thought it possible to convert an MR LE Sid - and Daren did an amazing job on that saber 

The finish on the MR LE is indeed perfect - I never would have imagined you could have the best of both worlds like that - won't be able to look at my MR LE the same way again. I've not seen a better finish on the Korbanth either - a really fantastic set - congrats.

Yes the finish Daren achieved on the korbanth Sid was incredibly close to the LE finish I was shocked when I 1st saw it
But the LE electrum finish just cannot be beaten

Also what can't be shown in pics is the feel of the LE it's like holding pure polished chrome and a little weighty in the hand, feels great

The mr LE  sidious is one of the most beautiful Sabers ever,
And having it converted takes nothing away from it as a display piece, any worries I had about that vanished once I received it
