Force Relics opens shop at Shapeways
« on: April 05, 2013, 08:24:50 AM »
Hi everyone!

I'm please to announce Force Relics is offering its blade plug designs and saber parts (together with other movie related props and replicas) at the Shapeways site.

So if you are interested in purchasing a bladeplug, please take a look at our shop and see what we have to offer.
Also check out our newly designed Saberwall (tm) line. With these parts, we offer a very clean and failproof solution to hang up all of your MR and Hasbro FX sabers. For now, only the Dooku Saberwall parts are up for sale, but we will add more very soon!:

Indeed!  ;D
The Green ranger coin is FANTASTIC in the bronze material and fits like a glove in my morpher. The white ranger coin needs some very minor changes and is a bit loose (at least when you have it printed in gold) Printed in plastic they boh fit perfectly. So I think "shrinkage" has something to do with the procedure of printing.

Very cool guys... Although the Blade Runner tiles are really Frank Loyd Wright tiles... just a little trivia... 8)

Metals can shrink/expand up to a certain percentage. I know that the bladeholder on my Sidious shrank around a mm, so I had to bore out the holder to fit. The outside was pretty exact, so different parts can expand and shrink depending on the overall size.  :o I believe the plastic is pretty much right on as far as the shrinkage rate.

I can't wait to see more saber parts show up.  ;D

Will do! I'll bump this topic whenever new stuff is added!

And Iggy, I think you're correct. But the shrinkage isn't always the same... Otherwis I could just calculate this when making a model... So metal parts fit like a glove, other prints of the same models don't.

Congratulations on your storefront, I'm excited to see your product line succeed and expand!

The videos are a great touch to demonstrate the blade plugs in use. The diffusion is great and I plan on trying out a couple of these in my upcoming sabers.

Congratulations guys this is a great development.
To DREAM the IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. To FIGHT the unbeatable foe. To BEAR with unbearable sorrow. To RUN where the brave dare not go. To RIGHT the unrightable wrong. To LOVE, PURE AND CHASTE, FROM AFAR [-sigh-]. To TRY, when your arms are too weary; to REACH the unreachable Star!... This is my Quest; To follow that Star, no matter how hopeless, no matter how far...
