Yes, it's the cheaper, lower end Hasbro version, not an FX version, sadly.

Im really really looking forward to the kids fx sabers coming out. I got my son the regular anakin toy version so ill probably get him the vader even though it doesn't look very bright in the video. I want to get one for my daughter but ill probably wait till they have a mace or snips version.

hahaha snips would be perfect! my daughter loves sabers already so they will both be spoiled with a collection to rival thier dad's!  :D
so yeah hopefully they come out with tons of characters for this line!

I have been searching for a darth sidious fx saber for my fiance for longer than I would ever admit.  has anyone heard anything at all about a sidious hasbro being created?  The original post 2 years ago mentioned it but since it seems it has been avoided by hasbro.

dont know about fx but if you have some dough to spend then JQ Sabers make a very nice Senate Saber

Que? When I followed that link, the only thing in the description was "A New Hope version has blue blade". Is this only a mistake, or will there be a blue version of this available for purchase? Even though good ol' Kit got the old lightsaber slash in Ep. III, and of course was never in ANH... lol

On slide 16, there's an ad for a new Ultimate Luke ROTJ. It looks the same as the previous FX versions, but I'm hoping "Ultimate" means removable blade. What do you guys think?

P.S. A lot of cool non-lightsaber stuff in that slideshow as well.

Hasbro needs to hire some of our illustrious smiths here as consultants and get on the ball with more accurate replicas if you ask me  ;D

FYI
Yoda provided MR with some sketches for the internals on the Dooku that were very similar to the Hasbro release.
If you search you may find them buried in the forum. I lost them some time ago during PC upgrades.
