Infamous "Orange" Bladed Hasbro Toy Lightsaber...
« on: May 09, 2008, 11:13:04 PM »
Hello There Folks, :D

I have a question in regards to a Hasbro Lightsaber. This does not fall under the FX Line and rather falls under the Toy Lightsaber Line. (And by anymeans, if I am in the wrong topic area, just change it, Mods, or let me know and I'll move it. I debated between Questions / Comments and Buying and Selling Lightsaber Forums, but went here)

Has anyone heard of the Infamous Orange-Bladed Toy Lightsaber? I am looking around the Net and can't find any info on this one. (And not this one either.... http://cargobay.starwars.com/webapps/cargobay/item-detail/12589) It's the one from EP I. I own it and can't find any info on it anywhere. (MIB too!) I am curious to know if any of you Super-Saber Buffs might know?

Thanks,
Han Solo ;D

I think I may know somebody with the answer.I know there are 3 types of Hasbro lightsabes the reg "toy" version no lights no sound, and most every jedi colored blade known to man. There is a reg.Jedi saber electronic, but only seen those in blue ,and green, and finally the spring action.Which they only did main characters.I have a Star Wars collectors club meeting tomorrow.I'll ask and procure an answer for you

Thanks, Leia. :) I have it buried like the Ark of the Covenant in storage, so even though it's safe, it gonna take me a while to dig it out. I am sure that it is the Mace EP I hilt. As for sound, I have no idea because I never opened it up. ;)

OT I have that Anakin AOTC tutorial Hasbro with the blaster deflect button and code lock. THAT would be an EXCELLENT FX made by Hasbro. I would pay for a few of those.

Good question. And without digging it out tonight, I don't know. It's not the one I linked in the original post, (Which looks and aweful lot like Qui-Gon's) and I am very sure it's EP I because of the design. But until I get a photo out to you, we won't know. If you can, can you get info on a few like that? Orange wasn't all that popular, was it?

OT Slightly, but this was made by Tomy in 2003......Look familiar?

I remember those.  I think they were called just "Jedi Lightsabers."  There was some other "off" color available too.

I actually own one of the AOTC versions,  and it is identical to the QG hilt,  just reversed colors.

I had one of those. In fact, I wanted to make a custom hilt based on it. I do believe my nephew still has it (I gave my hasbros away once I got hold of the MRs ;D)

Those TOMY lightsabers are kinda neat.  They were made as a Japan only collectible, and have a PLASMA blade. 8)

For that Orange Bladed one, I had one that a friend gave me... It never had a box, so I am not sure exactly what it was.

I realize this post is a month old, but I just saw it.

Are you looking for it in a box? I have an extra one lying around...not in great shape and not in a box. It has the Qui-Gon hilt with a cobalt gray and charcoal black paint scheme.

My brother has this one. It's simply called "Jedi Lightsaber" and the box had different Jedi on the box. It came out after Episode II and there was also a version with a green blade but I think the hilt was still the same. The sounds were the same as most of the other sabers of that time.
