From the topics found it would seem that we should see a repackaging of the existing production line
in the spring of this year so we will know for sure then what they are doing and if any changes get made...

I typed in Hasbro Lightsaber News and basically found the same story in various places as well.

"Hasbro's new "Force FX" line of collectibles, due out this spring, will include Darth Vader, Luke Skykwalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, and Yoda light sabers/weapons."

 This spring! :o

Well it would only make sense for them to sell the rest of MR's stock...So for their first releases expect a repackaged MR saber....BUT that is good! It will hopefully give them some time to tear down a saber and go through it and maybe take it to the next level..We just have to smile and hope for the best.. Besides I do believe that GL has to approve products before they can get released so..

I agree with all of you about them re-selling the newer MR models. What I will be watching closely is what new models they make, and if they have new sounds  8)

It would be great if fx-sabers.com could establish contacts with Hasbro, like we had with MR.

I hope the accept. Hasbro now has a rep on Rebelscum...Hopefully they see fit to join our little place in the galaxy as well.

I think it would be a mistake to avoid communications with the different SW sites out there.  With Amy on board I would think she would stress this option as a good sounding platform.

Amy is with eFX TK. I have no doubt that they will get a rep on these boards.

Hasbro on the other hand...Well, big corporations don't typically care that much about relatively small forums.

I said this in another thread and I will say it here again. Hasbro has been making sabers for a long time. Long time means they know what they are doing, if they didn't, they would not still be making them. That means Hasbro has thier finger on the pulse of the $25 saber market and they have excelled in that area. Now they have taken over the FX line. I'm sure they know what they are are doing and what they want to do. They already know the $25 saber is a big market, and I'm sure they know that the $120 saber is a very large market as well. I feel they will do good. If they are using MR technology for new sabers then they may not have been able to do R&D on new models until they actualy took over the license for them. They bring out what they have in stock, i.e. MR stock, while at the same time start R&D on new models for future release. It's the same as EFX, it takes time to bring stuff out. EFX wont have anything till what, July? At least Hasbro is giving us stuff this spring to tide us over. Have faith.  ;)
