Mon Calamari Saber with CS 3.0
« on: September 15, 2016, 02:18:56 AM »
Hello everybody!

This week I finished installing the Mon Calamari saber I was commissioned to build.
My client wanted me to design him a duel worthy saber inspired by the Mon Cal ships seen in ROTJ.
So I came up with this design:

After some mailing back and forth we agreed that the saber should have a occidised bronze look. So that's what I tried to achieve.

The specs of this saber are:
Plecter labs Crystal Chard 3.0 soundboard
9W RGB Led wired for Cyan with orange FOC
Double tactile switch setup
2W Bass speaker
18650 li-ion 3.7v battery in hilt rechargable

The Glams:

And a vid of the saber in action:

Absolutely gorgeous, I always loved the Mon Calamanri theme and you certainly recaptured the characteristic roundness of mon-cal design. The blade color of aquamarine blue rounds out the look perfectly.

Really dig this, Love the combination of straight lines and sculpted curves.  I've been working on a aquatic based saber as well, but more sculpted with a coral/seashell theme.

Very beautiful and organic looking! Makes me think of an Atlantean (Aquaman) theme.
