I have a Vader esb (the only fx i got). When i put new batteries in it the clash sound comes up easily. When the batteries had some good use the clash sound comes up hard. Then when the batteries are close to being dead the clash soun works as easy like i just put new ones in. Also when i hold the saber near the emmiter it is really hard to get the clash sound. Is this commen or what. :(

I aslo get a rattling inside the saber.

The rattling sounds like there is a really tiny ball or rock rolling inside of the hilt right? That is the motion sensor, I believe it is a ball of mercury that rolls around to get the sensors. Don't worry about that.
For the clash sound, my Vader takes a bit to get clash too. If you hit the side of your hilt with your hand, you will get the sound better. The saber also takes a bit to warm up to being hit. After about a month, you should be ok.

Cyano is right about the rattling. Unfortunately every FX saber is like that out of the box. I heard it when I first opened up my Anakin ROTS FX saber. I was wondering what it was for a while and was hoping it wasn't an LED loose, then I read what it was on here and was relieved.

Motion sensor maybe but I don't think Mercury rattles.
It sure doesn't rattle against glass.
I work with lots of Mercury switches and haven't heard a rattle yet.
I also doubt that they'd use Mercury in a comsumer electronic.
