3AAA Battery Holder I use in my PVC builds for use with soundboards or buckpucks.  Scratch and use flux to Pre-solder the terminals.  Solder wires to terminals, and don't overheat.  I build mine in assembly line fashion.  Thin-wall blade stock slides over these beautifully to act as retention for your batteries.

I saw that TCSS is now selling the individually connected single color LEDEngin 10W LEDs in all the single colors previously offered by LEDEngin, the ones that LEDEngin stopped making awhile back, the ones that prompted an email campaign thread to be created here at FX-Sabers in order to get LEDEngin to start making them again.

For my own curiosity, I went to mouser.com to see if they were selling them again or if Tim of TCSS managed to get a cache of discontinued LEDs from somewhere.  Turns out, Mouser is indeed selling them again and they are new ones from LEDEngin (yes, I made sure there were the independently connected MCPCB versions, not the serially connected ones).  This is awesome news and Tim is selling them for less than what mouser.com is selling them for which is even more awesome.  Also the TCSS page for the LEDEngin LEDs mentions that he will have the RGBx LEDEngin 10W LEDs soon!

If LEDEngin making these LEDs again had anything to do with the email campaign from here... you people rock.  Thank you for making this happen.

Heres a link for some 16mm illuminated AV switches that I have used before.  The only real difference that I could find for these is you can get any color ( dot or illuminated )  in a black casing or silver casing.  Not all the ones on TCSS are black..  Just an alternative if someone wants a certain set up in black.

Also they offer 22mm sizes !  This would be good if you wanted to have a bigger AV style switch .. say in the pommel for a custom project.

For records I'm actually prototyping quadpod XPE2 cree leds on quadpod and their optics.
LEDSupply - For All Your LED Project Needs!

the Carclo quad and Kathod quad are to be tested with, they borh match the led configuration even if the kathod, designed for rebels pcb does not match the cree's quadpod it could do the job within some adaptations.
We are all looking at the stars, we are Homo-sapiens-Stellaris.
when I see other's sabers I might think they have build them like a Tardis, bigger inside than oustide. Unlike mines huhu.

I would DARE say that they should mount more rebels like they did the quad deep red. The LEDs facing in may help.

Is there a source for bubble strip leds? Or do most builders just use individual leds? What size is best?

I use just the LEDs I scavage from mr blades
I have also seen really small rectangular LEDs at radio shack. You have to take into account the metal bar that goes through the control box also. I have also used a 5mm led before. Just have to put it in sideways so it is angled past the bar and at the center of the strip.
