Hi all, new to this whole lightsaber thing. Got twin boys, 5 years old and they recently got given a couple of Hasbro lightsabers. Found myself swinging them around when the kids weren't playing with them. Started researching lightsabers and now I've caught the bug I guess. :) Been a frequent visitor to tcss and even found myself in Bunnings looking at dremels, soldering kits and drill presses. Been amazed and impressed with some of the outstanding sabersmith work on this forum and while I can't yet afford to purchase some of the incredible custom work here yet (VV, JQ, JGJ et al, especially the recent QuiGon and ObiTPM runs) am looking to do some part time smithing myself.

I'm from Melbourne, looking to connect with locals who have purchased or built MHS lightsabers to talk shop. I know next to nothing about electronics but I pick things up pretty quick. Would love to build some custom lightsabers for the kids (and myself and my girlfriend, ha ha) for Christmas.

Hit me up, peeps.

Ro

Ahh an Aussie thread. North Queenslander here all the way up in Townsville. Nice to see a few Aussies around in the forums.

RoHan I too have been bit by the bug and have gone off the deep end and am purchasing a small workshop lol.

I've been seeing more peeps from Australia popping up.  Hopefully a great smith will arise from your ranks.  When he does, make sure the dropbears don't get him :(

Time will bring the real end of our trial.  One day they'll be no remnants

Oh believe me mate, there's a world class smith over here ;) he is definitely my go to guy, I have a build or two in progress with him and he has even worked on one of my high end CF sabers :)

Can't guarantee the drop bears aren't listening in though, so I had better not reveal anything :P
