MK1 battery

I’m in the process of buying the rest of the parts that I need to finish my Shtok/Rudy Pando MK1 build. I am planning on using Shtok’s recommended build for the Prizm soundboard, which requires a 3.7v 18500 2040mA battery. I’ve looked it up and the battery that is specified is not protected and doesn’t have any wires coming off of it. Can anyone here who has made a  crystal reveal MK1 with Shtok’s parts give me a little insight to this please? Thank you.
