Title: Luke Ep VI HERO
Post by: erv on September 23, 2009, 03:21:49 AM
- lux V@1A
- 2 x 14500 li-ion cells with PCBs in a home made batt pack
- bottom side crystal chamber visible thru the speaker grill
- JST sub mini connectors, no desoldering required
- working triangular leds
so far my best / most compact wiring job on a CF despite the inner guts aren't that pretty.

BUILD LOG
Cutting some acrylic disc for a double helix chamber, let the sound and wires go thru.

Crystal chamber in progress, screw and epoxy are used since it's not a revealed chamber

How do you like the JQ hero Erv?
Despite it's size, I find the grips to be most comfortable, and it's very easy to spin.

yeah... it's big, indeed ! I don't know about the accuracy of the measurements to be honnest, if you have a link, that would be interesting, I'll be glad to compare.
The grips are really confortable for a SW saber (usually horrible to spin canon sabers aside of the qui gon maybe).

I REALLY like the emitter plug and the USB keychain power indicator! I WANT, I WANT!

Great job on the saber, too. I had a chance to see Jango's at the summit, but I think it was undergoing some repairs at the time so I was unable to play with it...I was surprised at the size of the hilt, but at the same time it was a very impressive build...and I like how you did yours a lot. Now someone needs to do a V2 with that... ;)

cheers !
this one I have, it's the "non hero" version. I actually found the proper blueprint in my archive since.
It was a mess in my HD, much better organized now :-)

So it is, wish he (Sith archives owner) had stated it was the V2 blue print  ???

Your OK Erv' lol I was talking about the guy who owns Sith Archives. He didn't state it was the V2.

Fantastic saber Erv, I like the fact that this version of the luke ROTJ is bigger as I found the standard version was a nightmare to spin due to the control box (however I'm going by the MR forceFX Luke ROTJ not sure if there is a different one to compare to)
