I would like at least 25 pommels spoken for before I will consider this run 'a sure deal'. I will make the run larger if needed, but would like to have 25 minimum.

Option 1 - TPM style no sound holes in endcap

Option 4 - AOTC style with sound holes in endcap
Option 5 - TPM style no sound holes in endcap (anodized black)
Option 6 - TPM style with sound holes in endcap (anodized black)
Option 7 - AOTC style no sound holes in endcap (anodized black)
Option 8 - AOTC style with sound holes in endcap (anodized black)

With sound holes versus no sound holes you can also see the difference in the above picture.
TPM versus AOTC - TPM cubes have holes in them while AOTC cubes do not.
Prices will be as follows:
Options 1, 2, 3, and 4 will be $55.00 each
Options 5, 6, 7, and 8 will be $70.00 each
(Paypal fees included in price but not shipping)
Shipping will depend on if you are in the US or International. If you are in the US, 1-2 pommels will ship for about $8.00 in a USPS Small Flate Rate Priority box. 3 or more pommels and I will have to quote shipping for you. If you are international, I will also have to quote shipping.
I will let this 'interest' thread run for a few weeks. I will make a 'last call' announcement and give about one more week before closing the list and seeing where it is at size wise. Once the list is closed, I will make a call for a 50% deposit. Once all the deposits are in, I will order the material and start the work as soon as I can. I do not have a time frame for completion yet, it will depend on when the material gets ordered and my workload at that time.

edit: evidently I missed a couple people. I distinclty rememebr adding Qui-Gon Jinn's 4th pommel so I must have added a bunch then somehow never hit the save button. All is fixed now. (besides, little know fact - I do go back through the entire list one last time before sending PM to make sure I got everyone and the correct choices ;) )

I will not be shipping those until after the first of the year. The reason - I take off around the holidays to visit with family and enjoy the holidays. If I ship these off within the next week, I will be out of town when they are ready to come back and I won't be here to receive them. That, and my anodizer is also closed for the holidays beginning next Wednesday (they close for the maintainence and the holidays).
I atill need to sand and tumble debur all the cube rings. That chore is goingt o take me a coupel days. Because of the back surgery, and recovery, sitting at the sander is hard on my back. I can only sit and sand for about 20-30 minutes before I need to stop and take a break. With 82 rings, at about a coupe minutes each to sand and clean up, the process takes a while even if I can sit all day at teh sander. I may get a handful of un-anodized pommels ready to ship before the holidays, the rest will ship after the first of the year (the anodized ones taking jsut a little longer before shipping). I will be sending everyone PM/s or emails asking for final payment and giving shipping options for international customers.

Given this information, I would reckon when they are ready to be shipped, emails will be sent out. Wat may have finished some up and have them ready for shipping and may be contacting some members, but since not all of them are done not everyone may be receiving pm's yet.

Box issues aside, they also took the opportunity to redo their website again. In the past, when you went online, you typed in the recipient's address, entered the weight and value and were presented with quotes for Priority, Express and Global Express. First Class postage was derived through a different calculator) that was never right. Now, They give you the First Class pricing at the top of the page. For years, I have relied on the fact that the top shipping option has always been Priority mailing in my own box. Followed by the various 'pre-printed' Priority envelope/box options, then Express and Global Express. Once you picked your shipping option, you were presented with various options available (signature service, insurance, etc.). So, when I priced shipping on this last run of pommels, I used the top price, assuming it was regular Priority, and checked against Small Flat Rate packaging. I used the online Postal Explorer for each country to add the appropriate insurance cost. Well, as I sat down this past weekend to print labels for the first batch of international packages, I realized the mistakes I had made with the pricing. The price I quoted was for First Class shipping with insurance (derived from the Postal Explorer PDFs). Unfortunately, you cannot get insurance with First Class. I looked at pricing for regular cardboard boxes shipped Priority (as I had already purchased boxes and packed them for shipping) and found that the correct price should have been in the 35-38 dollar range. I looked at Small Flat Rate again, and is given at $23.95. If I shipped regular Priority, there would be an additional $2.50 (or more) for insurance. Since I had already told most everyone one or two pommels would ship for about 20 dollars, I decided to unpack, repack and ship the pommels via Small Flat Rate.
I re-packed all the boxes and set about printing labels. Only to find that you cannot purchase insurance online for Small Flat Rate boxes. Well, I have bought insurance for international packages at the post office before so I did not think much of it. I took the packages to the post office this morning only to be told that international Small Flat Rate boxes are no longer eligible for insurance. Even though it is printed directly on the box “Tracked and Insured.†I spoke with the postal employee and they are in the ark as much as I am – they do not hear about changes until several months after they are debuted (or they find out when customers begin complaining). I can get insurance if I change to Priority Mail in my packaging or move to Medium Flat Rate packaging. Both of those options are going to push shipping cost to at least $40.00 per package. I chose to ship the packages in Small Flat Rat and deal with the fallout. I shipped 5 packages today and, with the exception of one customer, the balance of international packages will also ship Small Flat Rate. They are going Priority and will have tracking (as much as USPS decides to update it) but will not have insurance. I apologize for this, but I do not think many want to pay 40+ dollars to ship a $55 part.
For those of my international customers who have already paid your final payment, you will not be asked to cover any differences. I have a few international people who have not paid in full yet and I am going to ask those to pay the additional shipping difference.
Again, I apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. In the past, I have always refused to ship First Class internationally because of some issues I had with the first packages I shipped internationally. That is why I only give shipping quotes for Priority and Express (as well as UPS and FedEx). To protect myself, I wanted the insurance and tracking options. This new development will mean I can no longer get insurance on Small Flat Rate international packages. As such, the next time I quote shipping, expect higher prices for packages with insurance or realize that insurance may not be an option on small packages.

These runs happen usually every few years. However, if you keep your eyes open, some people put their extra pommels up for sale every so often, so you just need to keep your eyes peeled for when that happens. ;)
