Warp blade replica from StarCraft 2
« on: February 12, 2018, 05:12:36 AM »
Hello guys :). I would like to share with you the prop I've been working on (also have some questions ;))

These 2 videos show where I am at the moment

Now I indend to 3D print the blade but one of the problems is... how to I go about even refraction? Using film foil like you'd normally do with a lightsaber is not an option so I should prabobly use some sort of paint... and ideas what I should use?

Also - do you think quad cree is going to be enough or do I need a neopixel led strip? Do you think it would work with NanoBiscotte v4?

Seems like a prime application for pixels.

I love this.

For a long time I've had an idea to do saber inspired by a StarCraft psi blade as seen in the original game from the 90s. In the cut scenes from that game they look more like traditional lightsabers than the more recent depictions from SC2, so it would be an easier project.
