That is a fantastic piece of work, Master Yoda.
You excel yourself yet again.
I have heard that the socket depth on the original blade holder is not sufficient to make a sturdy lux duelling saber.
Have you managed to overcome this or is this saber not suitable for duelling?
One more question: When and where can I get one? ;)
The socket depth on this is the same as the Mace Windu conversions ;)
It's only a matter of time before Ultra and or TCSS make an adapter now since I've
shown the basics needed for it and the possible depth set-up as well as the emitter not
becoming to long.
The only real issue is the clash sensor is placed in a position that it gets destroyed from either
side, no matter how you try to enter it.
The front pin is butted against the Blade and pushing the pin in far enough to get it out will crush
the sensor.
getting to it from the back means "carefully" drilling through it. (like I did :D)
then punching the pin out from inside.
If you were to try and use a screw extracting method and drill it out but it will require "experimentation"
But you'll have to have a padded drill press jig to hold it in other wise you could ruin the finish on the front
and saber body.
then it would be possible to get the clash out intact... ;)
Or just find a new clash sensor supplier ;D
Not to mention all the holes are not exactly "lined" up on this and each will require specifc measurements
to get a solid adapter made, but it can be done and will work.
It is more involved than some of the other conversions but if done like I've shown with the screws holding
everything back in place it actually becomes a very serviceable and easy to deal with saber.
But it's getting it to that point accurately and being able to repeat it.
I'm sure I'll talk with the conversion boys and get this on their list of things to to :D
