I can't wait for this to come out. You said MR knows they need  ;D to make a sidious. Any idea if it will be a V1 or V2? A V2 would match for his fight with yoda.

Grouch:
I'd imagine it would be the version they currently have released as far as the Sidious goes ;)

Edit: I just read that you said the proto-type had the recyled Jedi sounds.  I hope though the final ones do have the current character sounds.

Edit again: I will ask though where was the activation switch on the saber?

Oh sorry I though I did point that out :D

It is the small green button inside the center band shroud. If you look at the close up of it you'll
see it simply slides up and down to turn on/off.
It also engages with a firm click so it won't turn off easily either ;)

Ack!  Yoda!  The question has been danced around but not actually answered, will the production sabers actually have the movie sounds?  You said they MAY be shipping with a new sound chip, but did MR confirm new sounds?

Also, any word on if the re-relase of the Vader and Luke sabers this year will have any improvements?

And I must say, although I'm not really interested in a smaller saber, that Yoda FFX does indeed look very well built.

I doubt the sounds will be dif then the other Jedi sabers, just a slightly dif tone like always.

I do sincerly hope that starting with this saber that it will have accurate movie sounds rather than the same tired old recycled "Jedi sounds". ::)

If the sounds are accurate, then that may be enough to sway me into getting this one.  :P

2010...I certainly hope it's better than 2009 was! ::)
10/10/10~Well, so far with my Father's passing away, I'd say that this year was actually worse than 2009, even the fact that I now have a full time job (For now) isn't anywhere near enough to make up for that...so...maybe 2011 will be better? I'm not holding my breath... ::)

That'd be cool if they let all the mods get the first review of each FFX.  Hey Obi Wan you wanna switch names later this year? ;D  I'm excited about this saber, not so much that its a Yoda FX, but the advancement in tech that allows them to make the electronics fit.  Opens up many doors this does.  I haven't had my hopes up for new sounds so I'm still excited about this saber.

Well they have to pay a license fee for each sound they use,so my guess is Lucas is charging through the roof so that are milking the existing licensed sounds for all they can.

Excellent review Yoda...

I'm not certain if I'm going to get a Master Yoda FX, yet but I would love to have a Master Qui Gon Jinn FX...
