Calvary Custom Sabers Presents "The Mentorship" Saber
« on: August 29, 2011, 06:40:50 PM »
Hey Saberland!

It is time again to present another newly completed saber. This saber was built for a young kid who is a huge SW fan. Here's the thing though, he helped build it. There was a starting budget for the guy just enough for a PVC saber. I wanted him to have something a little better than that, so I gave him a "credit" towards a metal hilt. He designed the hilt based off of given parameters, and did 90% of the polishing himself. I did the electronics for him, and we now have the following saber to show you guys.  8)

The Mentor-ship Saber
Specs;
Polished MHS hilt
2006 Hasbro Force action board w/ PNP transistor
Rebel Green LED running at 1100 ma.
3.6V In-hilt recharge setup
TCSS MOM switch threaded into hilt
TCSS premium Speaker w/ 2" of Resonance
Calvary Custom Sabers 33" Standard blade

Glams;

Video will be up in a few days...

Awesome work, and a really great idea.  Glad to see someone willing to help out a new apprentice smith and put him on the right track.  (Not to mention setting him up with a fine saber.)

Such a great gesture, to go the extra mile and help him to get a proper saber.  Especially one that he gets to design himself and put some work into the finished product. I am sure your young padawan is very proud of your joint creation. Nice work Sollus!

I love it!  Very sleek but budget minded.  I chose that blade holder for my brother's darkside saber as well as he had a very very small budget and I think it's like $12?
Sabers I own/made:  ancient "Ossus" w/US 2.5 + rebel green
Larbel graflex w/ PC-U,  p4 blue, yoda chassis kit.  Anh Luke
In the mail-- super v3 plus red makoto w/2.0 sound. Sss hilt.
Projects--rotj v2 luke, mhs custom 10w w/foc + ignition
