Title: Dark Korbanth OWK1 w/ Crystal Focus Conversion

Hey SaberFans,

Mixing it up a bit today with an advanced conversion I did a while back. This saber is a heavily modified Korbanth OWK1 Hilt. It has been stripped of all anodizing and refinished with satin black powdercoat for a dark finish. Essentially, where there was silver, there is now black, and where there was black, there is now silver. This coloring makes for a very unique and, IMO, cool look for a classic saber hilt.

This piece is powered by the Plecterlabs Crystal Focus, and was quite the challenge to make all the electronic components fit, while retaining access to the SD card. I retained access by using the grip shroud piece as a swivel device where you simply remove the covertec button, spin the shroud around, and you have full access to the Crystal Focus SD Card. Other features include modification for a 7/8″ blade, illuminated micro quartz in the bike valve, and a 2.1mm Recharge system.

That is a very unique take on the OBK1. It has a true zing to it.

Nice and Dark, "only a true sith" could come up with this look and make it work. :sidious:

I really like the color scheme. I'm usually not a fan of the OBK1, but with that color scheme it looks really good.

great conversion, nice job!

I always wondered what a reverse color scheme would look like on this saber.  I wonder if the silver parts would look better as a grey powdercoat instead of silver.......

@JediWizard, Korbanth conversions are so time intensive for me, they simply don't suit my commission preferences at this point in my business model. Thanks for asking sir.
