If you want a new color, email Tim with the suggestion.

Forgive me, I'm new and I'm not sure who Tim is.  What is Tim's name here on the formus?

He isn't on the forums. He's the owner of TCSS. You can email him via the store, www.thecustomsabershop.com

He does post on the forums at TCSS as "Strydur",  though.

Just a quick question. Powdercoating requires heat treating to make the coating set, right? So if someone wanted to powdercoat a Vader emmiter shroud they'd have to have one made out of metal first. I'm assuming they're generally made of plastic from the look of them making powdercoating impossible. So if I wanted to paint one instead what kind of paint would you recommend?

If u opt for a resin, plastic or other non metal shroud, I would recommend the textured fusion paint.
Fusion can be found at Walmart, Home Depot, Lowes and many other places.

Fusion makes a flat black textured spray paint that looks pretty good.
Good stuff!

What if its aluminum?

Then powdercoat it. We powder coat aluminum all the time. All TCSS MHS parts  are Aluminum.

To whom are you asking this question? TCSS only powder coats their own parts,  and Gemini Concepts (Chewbacca and Master Jedye) usually only do powder coating on their own sabers they build.

ok then. i have been looking on the TCSS site and can't really find anything in the MHS that can make a maul type hilt. My dream is to make a maul or 2 sabers that look like his but are pced in 2 colours, I would love to get the money together to get all the stuff i need to make one.

A lot of the smiths who make sabers do their own powdercoating so, if you want something like that, contact the smith of your choice when the time comes.

i think the problem i am having it when i look around the sites i do not see anything other then a hilt that is plane, I would need to do most of the work myself and then there is the question of the emitter, I haven't seen anything that even looks like mauls on any custom site, Would i need to ask them about that and pay alittle more to have them make it?

When you say that you need to do most of the work yourself, it all depends.  Most do not have the machining equipment to duplicate the Maul.  So, if you do not have machines, a mill and a lathe, then it is likely that you aren't going to be doing most of the work yourself.  You'd have to contract it out.

If you are not concerned with total accuracy, you can certainly make something similar with TCSS parts.  This emitter has a similar sort of shape: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Screw-on-LED-blade-holder-style-6--P186.aspx.  If you are going for "maul like" you could use paint and maybe some add ons with other parts from www.thecustomsabershop.com to make yourself a saber ;).
