How's everything going, Grouch? Keep us updated man... :) And all the best

Hey. well I finshed it up. though I do no think it really looks much better. If anything i think its slightly worse. When I stripped the paint off to try again I ended up stipping the saber down to the bare chrome. It made getting the paint to stick on very hard. It took me another 4 tries to get it looking ok again. At that point I just didn't want to deal with it anymore so I've left it as it. I did make a new cover and side panel to the MR mini box though with the new colors and added a "v2" to the name.

I just picked up some paint tonight though to work on my resin sidious though. Hopefully that goes a little better.

Click for a bigger picture. I got it with most of the primeing down but I tried to clean up a few spots then I reprimed it white.

I think the "light gun metal" may still be a little to dark. An aluminum color might have been better. But whatever.

Now I'm going to lightly sand the over spray and then tape off the grey and put the black down.

I got a bad feeling about this.

I got the gray taped off but i'm really afraid that that tape is going to peal off the paint. :( xxx it. I thought I let it dry long enough. ~20 hours.

oh well lets see.

Well I'm going to try all over again. I pulled the tape off of the gun metal and in parts it pulled of the paint and the primer. I guess I'm just going to have to take even more time with this and let everything dry REALLY well.
