Two questions, how did you make them, and are they capable of being converted to use a Luxeon blade?

They're replicas of Graflex flashtubes imported/sold by Parks Sabers.  All I did was add the grips, d-rings, and appropriate board in the clamp.  There are many EL kits out there for Graflex.  As far as Luxeon, I've read that thecustomsabershop.com is working on a Lux conversion for Graflex tubes, but not sure of the progress/availability.  xwingband would know more about this.  I would love to add a Lux kit to one of these, but then of course I'd have to buy another for "unaltered" display.

Yeah, I think they are working on that too. If they become available and can fit Corbin's board in there for sound and all the cool effects, I may have to go that route.  ;D

2010...I certainly hope it's better than 2009 was! ::)
10/10/10~Well, so far with my Father's passing away, I'd say that this year was actually worse than 2009, even the fact that I now have a full time job (For now) isn't anywhere near enough to make up for that...so...maybe 2011 will be better? I'm not holding my breath... ::)

One problem with a Lux conversion of a Graflex flashtube would be the bulb "ears".  The opening is slightly less than an inch so any Lux conversion would have to use a tube smaller than the 1" OD that most people use for Luxeon blades.  The 3/4" tube normally used for EL conversions fits perfectly.  Not saying you couldn't use a 3/4" OD tube for a Lux but it's not the norm.  Xwingband?  got any info here?

I believe the ears are meant to flex for the blub.  Tim's are going to be 1" so I'm not sure on details but he wouldn't make a product that had such a glaring problem as that. ;)  Corbin is working on some LED holders with the graflex shop in 1" and 3/4".  Both will probably be top notch.  I've seen Corbin's 3/4" inch graflex and the evenness is worse but it's still decent especially with his blade film.

Finished the first of my FX stands.

All these photos available full-sized here

I had planned on making a red one first, but I kept popping/burning out the red LEDs.  Oh well, maybe I'll get a better batch next time.

Bubble tape on the control box For the ANH looks too big go for da ESB!
Love is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope.

not sure what you mean.  Since the first post, the bubble strip on the ANH has been upgraded to the correct 7 bubble strip, instead of the original 8 bubble strip.

Also a pic of my finished ESB

that saber + that stand= totally awesome.

you know what would be really cool....if you can install the appropriate color that each sabe would produce, i.e. vader red, luke green....etc....
