« on: July 27, 2018, 11:50:34 AM »
Hello everyone.
This here is my latest build. Modified MHS hilt w/custom removable chassis. Pico crumble v1 (awaiting NBv4). Tri Cree RGB. 18650 Li-Ion. Quartz crystal chamber w/5mm RGB. 20mm speaker. 2.1mm RCP.
This was my entry in the 2018 TCSS saber contest.
As always, thanks for looking.

Greenie

I do have one question though. Since the chassis is completely removable, how do you turn on the lightsaber when the chassis is inside?

Thank you all.

The brass button aligns with the tact switch on the chassis. I will add a short vid for demo.

Nice! How does the external switch work? How do you keep the internal and external switch aligned?

The external brass switch is a 'mushroom' button. The 'stem' fits through a hole in the hilt. To maintain alignment, the screw fixing the switch box, protrudes into the hilt at the top of the lens holder which has a notch filed in it to meet the screw.
