Nice! The heatsink looks familiar to me...?!

These sabers are designed from the actual character saber concepts / in film used props (as far as I'm aware)

These are a sort of Clan Saber that all have some general similarities, and then some basic unique features to set them apart from each other :)

no in fact I was really speaking of the heatsink itself as it looks made for quadpod pcb (using XPE2) it have holes in the center, and JQSabers are the ones I asked to make me some for my Organophaos sabers

when I see other's sabers I might think they have build them like a Tardis, bigger inside than oustide. Unlike mines huhu.

Once I get funds built back up, I'd be interested in the Luminara hilt

My apologies for the mis-interpretation there lol

I thought he was talking about the emitter end... The slotted grooves going around the emitter to be precise (it is sometimes referred to as the heat sink as the idea is that the heat of the blade itself is dissipated through the area in the emitter to stop overheating and eventual melting)

I think we got there in the end with what was meant originally though LOL

I like the idea of the led accent being a switch. those are fairly easy to do especially since I have done them on all my oR sabers.  they are nice to do

You know I would prefer the LEDs as switches ;D.  I prefer no extra holes on the hilt :).

Just a standard internal thread heatsink there, holes for Tri leds on the final version.
Sounds good for the switches then, I will get the plans altered for the red thumbscrew.
We can now think about the recharge socket going in the pommel, will have a word with the FR guys about a speaker holder combo, this would work as the end op the pommel will unscrew.
I am also having a few doubts about the detailing next to the led, for the Plo I have it as a 3mm led in bezel, the Luminara looks like two.
Anyone got more info on these???

From what I know, the picture of the prop in the first post was a fan made prop by a member of yourprops.com. I've looked closely and it doesn't look like they are actually LEDs? They look like small grub screws? Maybe it's just my eyes? But I don't think they are LEDs. :))

you're welcome, I'm sorry for my bad engRish, my bad!

for records JQSabers saved my Organophaos finishing with the specific led heatsink I needed (my sabers use quadpod xpe2 led).
Anyway this saber looks very good! Bump!!

Thanks all for the response and feedback, especially Alex, Top Man :D
Final adjustments to the plans include slightly wider pommel vanes and a red thumbscrew switch assembly, FR guys are working on a speaker holder/recharge socket and we have a mod for the pommel so it now has a removable end cap which will make access to the socket nice and easy.
Preliminary quantity of 30 hilts which will leave a few spare :D
Will post progress as it happens.
