Darth Vader ESB FX vs LE
« on: May 02, 2006, 02:53:15 PM »
As you can see from the photos the Vader ESB FX is a great representation of the LE.  The only real difference between the two is the larger width of the FX, due in no small part to the battery pack.

The lengths are actually the same, it's just the angle making it appear otherwise.

As for the mind trick, sorry DK, you'll have to fight it yourself. :D

The size really is close, but, as the Maul demonstrated so well, it is the batteries that keep it a bit out of scale with its counterpart.

Lookin at it, i know i shouldve made a research first before ordering my 1st FX last year. I desparately needed an FX since ROTS was coming near, and i didnt know that Gen3 Vader FX was just around the corner, so i placed an order from starwars.com for a Gen2 ANH Vader. The FX arrived quickly, 5 days after the payment, to Malaysia. I was like, whoaa..this is a cool stuff indeed and it made me instant famous, like i was one of the first few FX owners here..
But, on the same week, went to a local MR retailer, i saw a row of FX boxes with a different graphic from mine, and i asked 'r these somkind of a new version or what?' So i was told tht those r Gen3 FX sabers, with better electronics, better n LOUDER sounds, only 3 batteries required..etc.. Darn, i felt..old n retarded.

Anyway, many moments later, i accepted the fact that all FXs have their own 'sentimental' value, be it Gen1,2,3,4,5 and so on. Its just that i dont think ill be owning another Vader FX, so i shouldve got the better one in the first place..

The ESB Vader really is a solid great FX, a truly worthy addition to any collection.  I'm sure you'll be pleased DK. ;)
