Pico Crumble Problem!
« on: January 15, 2018, 08:08:15 AM »
The issue with my Pico Crumble is that after it powers up, lights and sound as it should, then it makes the swing sounds constantly, even when lying on a surface. When its actually swung or clashed it powers off abruptly. It did work correctly for a short time after I first put it together. I've checked my wiring and all seems to be in the right place. Any help or advice would be welcome.

Thanks,

Shanks

Np plus it is "classic" as an issue, you are probably pulling too much from your battery

Thanks Erv, all seems good now. Thought I’d better report back in case it helps others with similar problem. I changed the battery for new fully charged one (18650) just in case, which stopped the saber cutting out on clash but still had constant swing sounds, so I put 1ohm resistors on each of the LEDs (9W RGB LED) instead of 0.5ohm and that has fixed it.

was that a pico 1.0 or 2.0 ?
in any case, incorrect resistoring will lead to voltage ripple even with a beefy battery, so current should be limited accordingly based on the led forward voltage.
Glad you got it to work !
