Interesting review, Miss Texas. :o I agree that the Obi-Wan ROTS is the most impressive FX Saber to look at and hold. I only hold one reservation in regards to this great FX Saber. Like most of the FX Saber tubes, I find it dents rather easily. The only one that doesn't is Lord Maul's. That tube is is ultra-solid.

Keep the faith, my good friend! ;D

One thing I've noticed about my Obi-Wan saber is that it never warps... I'm not sure if the blade is simply sturdier or if I just have a freak lightsaber. I'm not complaining in the least, but it's pretty surprising to me that mine never warps.

Nice.

Reminds me of the reviews I used to write before I just got tired, sick, depressed, and just stopped caring, period.   I actually have a Maul one that I'd like to do, but I don't feel that I have the time, and most importantly, the patience to care to write it anymore.

The actual model itself looks alright, although I must admit I'm not a huge fan of the hilt design.   I like the sleek looks of the Anakin ROTS/Luke ESB the best.   I guess the color looks alright as well, but I always thought that the Anakin ROTS had that down pat, as well.

One question though.   How do you turn this one on?   I didn't read through it all, so maybe I missed something?

It turns on similarly to the Darth Vader ESB... you just push the gold button with the design that is embedded into the control box upward.

Mine, too. And one more thing, the sound keeps getting louder and louder.
This is one both cool and misterious MR saber.
The only downside I've found so far is only the black paint on the part between the control box and the pummel wears off easily. Do you have the same experience Miss Aayla?

Well, I have had mine for a month or two and spin it quite often. I have not had any wear on the black grenade section at all. I wonder if they had a batch of bad paint for a bit? I don't think I have had it long enough to notice any warp as I turn mine in their stands often. I still neeed to take it apart to see the insides!

Nope, the paint on mine hasn't worn off. However, I rarely handle it. It's one of two lightsabers I have on display right now, and I hardly get time to even touch it.  :-\

I've had my Obi Wan a little over a week now and I've already got minor paint wear on the grenade section of the hilt. Also, there seems to be a slight sticky residue on the hilt that I have not been able to remove, and I've tried several methods (goo-gone, lenscleaner, 409, handsoap), but nothing doing.

My clash sensors are overly sensitive. Just picking the saber up seems to be enough to set it off. Ironically enough, the swing sensors are even stiffer than my Vader ESB. After lots of experimenting on what method works best to achieve the appropriate sound, I've found that the Saber does NOT respond to a downward swing 9 times out of 10 and only responds 5 times out 10 swinging it horizontally to the left. Swinging the saber upwards or horizontally to the right has presented no problems for me.

And I noticed also that the blade is not what's wobbling, but the foam diffuser inside the blade is what's actually moving but it makes it feel as though the blade is shifting as a result (at least on mine).

Oh, and great review Aayala ;)
